How much does aircon repair cost in Penang?
Diagnosis and labour start at RM100 per wall mounted unit. Parts are quoted separately once we know what's failed, and you approve that number before we fit anything.
My aircon runs but the room stays hot. What is it?
Usually one of three things. Low gas from a leak, a coil so choked that air can't get through it, or a compressor that's stopped pulling. We check all three before telling you which.
Do you charge just to come and look?
Diagnosis is part of the RM100 starting price, not an extra on top of it.
Why is my aircon dripping water down the wall?
A blocked drain line, almost every time. Sludge builds up in the pipe and the water backs up into the room instead of going outside. It's a quick fix and worth doing before it marks the plaster.
How long does a repair take?
Most are done in the same visit. If a part has to be ordered we'll say so on the spot, and you'll know the cost of both trips before we leave.
Is it worth repairing an old unit?
We'll tell you honestly. If the compressor has gone on a unit over ten years old, a new one usually costs less than the repair. We'd rather say that than sell you a fix that doesn't last.
